Our Story
Our founder and Servant Executive Director Laurie McFee has walked the steps of a soul who has had the rug of life pulled out from underneath the soles of her feet through a chronic illness, a heart-breaking divorce, the suicide of a precious family member, financial uncertainty and much more. She persevered through the loneliest of circumstances,
in a cloud of darkness, and in the unknown of life. All the while, she is trusting and believing that God has been with her through every painful step. One of her favorite quotes is from Corrie ten Boom, "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” Through Laurie's own trials of life, God laid upon her the mission to start Beautiful Soul Ministries to help those who were hurting from the struggles of life.
Laurie believes that prayer is one of the most important responsibilities of daily living before God. In the Scripture I Peter 5: 7, it tells us to..."Cast all your care on Him, for He cares for you." And in the Scripture Matthew 11: 28 this tells us..."Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest." Sometimes our prayers are painful to pray and sometimes our prayers are filled with joy. In all our prayers, we are to bring our petitions before Him with a heart of thanksgiving and He will give us rest.
